Switching to serious mode, and totally trailing off various fandoms

The @System association, together with Bitflow (@SystemGroup), is presenting its 5th Net&System Security Convention (NSS). An event concentrating on the latest technologies, solutions and difficulties regarding IT security, bringing together persons from different parts of the IT community -students, professionals, researchers, free lancers, etc.
Net&System Security 2007 will take place in Pisa/Italy at the Palazzo dei Congressi on November 27th, and will last the entire day.
This year's speakers include -but are not limited to- experts from Cisco Systems, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Clusit, aipsi, CNR (the National Research Council), the Computer Science Department and the IT, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Departmment of Pisa Universty.

And once again, as a desire to have more interaction with the participants at this event, comes the 2nd edition of the NSS Call-for-Paper. Participation is open to all, and is free of charge. The paper can be submitted either in Italian or English. Authors of the best papers will have a chance to present their work throughout the convention. Awards and/or recognition for best papers will also be given, and papers will be published in the convention's official proceedings.

Please refer back to the Cfp page for more info, rules, and deadlines. Entrance at the convention is also free of charge.

	The @System association is an IT, student, non-profit association. Founded in 2003, after the success of the 1st edition of the Net&System Security Convention, it is slowly gaining a reputation among IT students and IT companies all over Italy.
	Bitflow was born this year out of the experience of @System's founders.

I'm inserting this post (even though I said I was never coming back to livespaces) because I asked a friend to listen to this song, which should start playing in the media player module right about now. This post includes kana, romaji and translation of the song. If you don't know Japanese, or this song, I would be really happy if you took a minute to listen and read anyway. It's really inspiring, and I love every aspect of it - the melody, the words, the meaning, the way it's sung, and the sound of the piano solo as well as the piano together with the guitar. And the kids' chorus at the end adds a special touch.

**the difference between LE and RE, is that LE contains a bonus track; which is the Trumpet & Piano Jazz version of 「こんな僕で良かったら」.

Unfortunately, Love Song Productions only translated a part of the song. The last lines of the translation here are completely theirs; I just really loved how they put it -I struggled with those lines so much! like, you know what they mean, but how on earth can you transmit the msg in a poetic way!! Well, they did a good job.

-- Goes without saying that I do not think my work was perfect. So, if  you spot any weird things, wrong translation or kana, please let me know ^^
-- If you for any reason stumbled upon a similar entry in some other blog, don't worry I'm not stealing. That's still me (^^)
-- I'm convinced more than ever that livespaces needs a lot of tweaking before it can get back to normal operation. Just a few seconds ago my CPU was about to totally melt -_- plus it keeps telling me that livespaces is not available when I try to update -_- this is taking longer than it should have!
-- I just fiugred out why my CPU was about to melt. Livespaces decided that it was really fun to insert like a million line feeds after every html line -_- (resulting in a document that exceeded 580 pages!)

i learnt just a little while ago of the extra uses megaphone has (thanx Omar).what is megaphone? a software that, once installed, sends out alerts for lurking blogs, forums, polls and sites that are pro-Arab. the user, usualy pro-Israel, visits those sites and contributes to the positive propaganda Israel is trying to spread. this is often done by teaching those users what to say in certain situations and how to take advantage of words used by those pro-Arabs.
this is mainly to influence world wide -european and american- opnion, and pull sympathy towards Israelis rather than Lebanese in times where a Qana massacre might have severe damage to Israel's image.

first i heard of megaphone was in a friend's blog (Ammar's Blog) in which he pointed out how that software was being used to manipulate polls on AlBawaba.com.

is that really what's happening in the world? i'm only leaving for Jordan in a coupla days (hopefully! story on that one shortly!) so up until now i know at least how Italian media has been covering the story. can't really tell where the scale tilts, but for sure today's news was a lot about israeli soldiers dying, and little about Baalbek! images of suffering aren't shown often. wut is shown is usually the "fireworks", the smoke, and the desert created by crashing buildings.
